Support and friendship are always on hand within the home and we welcome family and friends to visit at convenient times. Hairdressing, manicures, chiropody, daily newspapers, telephone access and the Internet all make life that bit more convenient. We create calm environment which is comfortable and caring for people to continue to live their normal daily lives with dignity, respect and privacy, supported with the highest standards of care. We also love animals and have our own cats Munch and Milo, visitors are always welcome to bring their dogs to visit if they are well behaved and under control and have a liking for the odd biscuit or two.

Personal Care Plans

Personal Care Plans are developed, identifying needs and ensuring appropriate care is provided. Care Plans are regularly monitored and reviewed to allow for changing situations, with guidance and input from the resident, their family, GP’s, District Nurses and Specialists (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Opticians, Dentists, Chiropodists).

Key Workers

On a more personal level we operate a ‘Key Worker’ system where each resident is allocated a named Carer (if they wish) who acts as a friend and assists them in living a normal life as far as possible.

This may be by keeping in contact with the outside world, inviting friends to visit, arranging personal shopping, helping to read or write letters or maybe remembering a card for that special occasion. It’s the little things which make a difference and our Key Worker system creates a closer bond between residents, relatives and staff.
